Now offering the RIPP Mods Superchargers performance coil pack/Wires for your 4.0L engine!
Do you have a 1999+ Jeep WJ with that coil rail on your plugs?
You probably do, and I'm sure you've run into an issue, or will run into the issue of it failing on you at the most inopportune time, or the boots tore on you while trying to change the spark plugs, or maybe it cracked?
Well, these things can get costly, and they're a pain to diagnose as an issue as well.
Well, say goodbye to that coil rail and upgrade yourself to the Dodge Viper coil pack for your Jeep 4.0!
Our bracket installs on the top 2 motor mount bracket bolts that go to the block (shown in photos), this allows the Viper coil to install directly onto it, and the only thing you're going to need, is a 11mm, 15mm, and 13mm socket!
For 1999 model years, you would normally have to change the pinout of your coil rail plug in order to run an aftermarket rail, or in this case, the new coil pack, but not to fear, no wiring is needed, our harness is a plug n play design that will work right off the bat! Just make sure to choose your year range in the dropdown below.
In photo's section is a diagram on firing order for new coil
The bracket comes powder coated and is made of strong 12 gauge steel, cut to the perfect size and is easily mountable. In fact, it even comes with our Limited Lifetime Warranty against any manufacture defects!
I know what you're thinking, what about the plug wires? Well, we have an option for a standard setup which is what you could get at most any parts house, the other, is the RIPPmods performacne wire pack:
The RIPPmods details as follows:
The internal wire needs to have less resistance to carry more voltage to the spark plug to increase spark capacity. This will result in a much better burn quality when you really need it.
The internal shielding needs to be high quality to avoid interference with on-board electronics.
The outer shielding needs to be high quality and have a high heat resistance to carry the voltage.
RIPP ignition wires use very high quality silicone boots and coatings that resist heat.
OEM Mopar wires use graphite fibers as a conductor, these are loaded with resistance, resulting in major energy loss. RIPP wires use a spiral wound, heavy duty, steel core conductor. With minimal resistance they deliver maximum amount of power from your coil pack to spark plugs.
